We are organizing transfers from Toulon airport or railway station to Porquerolles on Monday 25/06 and Friday 29/06 (included in registration fee). The meeting place will be « La Tour Fondue » at Hyères (see below). Please indicate in the registration form if you plan to use the proposed schedules.

Monday, June 25th, 2012

We advise you to either take the plane to Toulon or use train transportations to Toulon or Hyères. If you opt for the plane, then arrive before 16:00. If you opt for the train and stop at Toulon railway station, then please arrive before 15:30. We will rent a shuttle from Toulon railway station to « La Tour Fondue » leaving Toulon at that time. The conference boat will then leave Porquerolles harbour « La Tour Fondue » at 17:00 on Monday, June 25th.

The boat will leave Porquerolles at 14:15. A shuttle will bring attendees to either Hyères or Toulon railway stations just afterwards.

How to go to Porquerolles Island ?

From Toulon-Hyères airport or Hyères train station, take either a bus or a taxi (see information below) to the harbour at « La Tour Fondue » on Giens Peninsula. From the harbour, take the ferry or a taxi boat to Porquerolles Island.

The IGESA Center which hosts the workshop is 200 meters away from Porquerolles harbour.  

By plane

Toulon-Hyères airport is located near Hyères which is the closest city to Porquerolles Island. From the airport, rent a taxi (about 25 €) to « La Tour Fondue » where the ferry boat to Porquerolles will wait for you and leave. Please, do not arrive at either Nice or Marseille airports to avoid a long transportation to Hyères.

By train

The closest railway station to « La Tour Fondue » is Hyères. You can also stop at Toulon which is 18 km away from Hyères where you need to take the ferry for the island. Bus connections between Toulon and Hyères railway stations are not so good. We, therefore, advise you to opt for one of the following solutions:
If your train stops at Hyères, then either use The SODETRAV bus company (shuttle # 67) or a taxi (about 25-30 €) to reach « La Tour Fondue ».
If your train stops at Toulon, then either use a taxi (about 65 €) or ask for using the conference shuttle which will leave at 15:30 on Monday, June 25th from the bus station.

Boat

IMPORTANT : We plan to collect all participants arriving at « La Tour Fondue » at 17:00 on Monday 25/06. There will be a special IGESA Boat named « La Valériane ».

For participants missing the above appointment, there are ferry boats from « La Tour Fondue » to Porquerolles Island every 30 minutes from 9:00 to 12:30 in the morning, then every hour in the afternoon. Travel time: 20 minutes. Be aware of not missing the last boat at 18:30.

Price

A round trip is 18 € for an adult, 16 € for children between 4 and 10 years and free for children under 4. Credit cards are accepted. To get a seat and buy your ticket, be there 30 minutes before departure time.

For late arrivals, there are also Taxi Boats. Please contact their company directly to book a boat (single trip: 93 € for 6 persons, 15.50 € for each extra person).
