Titel: Quantum Games.
Games are fun. And games provide interesting a mathematical problem. Each players' win or loss depends not only on his choice, but also on the choice of the other players which is not known in advance. How to proceed in this case is the subject of game theory which was developed by John von Neumann and others in the 1940's. An essential assumption of game theory is that the games' board, the moves and other ingredients abey the laws of classical physics. The talk will investigate the fate of games once they are played with quantum means. For some simple two players binary choice games we shall find that it may well pay to attend the quantum mechanics classes.
