The PhD candidate is expected to be talented and willing to acquire the necessary tools to tackle the peculiar many-body problems arising in this context, thereby building a very broad and flexible profile on the border between quantum optics and condensed matter physics. The ideal candidate should have good analytical and numerical skills and some familiarity with the methods of quantum-field theory. Applicants should have an excellent master degree in Physics.
The PostDoc candidate is also expected to have research experience in related areas and/or be familiar with quantum-field theory methods especially for out-of-equilibrium systems.
Financial support is available for workspace equipment, collaborative work, and for presentation of results at national and international conferences.
