Advanced Study Group: Focus week

June 14 - 17, 2011

Scientific Coordinators:
Arnd Bäcker (Technische Universität Dresden, Germany)
Roland Ketzmerick (Technische Universität Dresden, Germany)
Peter Schlagheck (Université de Liege, Belgium)
Steven Tomsovic (Washington State University, USA)

Organisation:
Katrin Lantsch & Anett Pacholik (MPIPKS Dresden, Germany)

Scope:
The focus event will cover the myriad of ways in which the nature of dynamics determines tunneling behaviors. Of interest are direct tunneling processes between regular and chaotic wavefunctions, resonance-assisted tunneling, chaos-assisted tunneling and ionization, tunneling between chaotic wavefunctions, and new experimental realizations of complex tunneling behaviors. The complexification of classical dynamics in phase space and its geometrical structures in higher dimensional spaces are of particular interest. The event will be organized into roughly equal parts of invited presentations with ample question periods, and break-out discussion sessions.

Invited speakers:
Stephen Creagh (UK)
Shmuel Fishman (Israel)
Kensuke Ikeda (Japan)
Srihari Keshavamurthy (India)
Steffen Löck (Germany)
Amaury Mouchet (France)
Evgenii Narimanov (USA)
Louis Pecora (USA)
Susumu Shinohara (Germany)
Akira Shudo (Japan)
Kin'ya Takahashi (Japan)

Participation is by invitation only. The registration fee for the event is 65 EUR and should be paid by all participants.
