This year's Atomic Physics meeting in Dresden will have focus days (Monday to Wednesday) on

"Relativistic Laser-Matter Interaction"

The focus is intended to discuss progress and perspectives of:

- relativistic few particle dynamics in strong laser pulses
- relativistic laser-plasma interaction including new dynamical regimes ("bubble formation")
- the status and perspective of high power laser systems
- theoretical concepts for relativistic matter dynamics in light fields including QED effects

The second part of the workshop (Wednesday to Friday) is open to all topics of interest in atomic physics.

The program (of both parts) will consist of invited talks and poster presentations.

Invited speakers

The registration fee for the workshop is 75 Euro. Local costs including accommodation and meals will be covered by the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems. Accommodation will be organized by the MPIPKS. Limited funding for travel expenses is available on request.
