International Workshop on

ATOMIC PHYSICS

November 26 - 30, 2007

Scientific Coordinators:

Laboratoire Aime Cotton, Orsay
Universität Freiburg
mpipks Dresden

This year's Atomic Physics meeting in Dresden will have focus days (Monday to Wednesday) on

"Rydberg Dynamics"

The focus is intended to present recent highlights of Rydberg research in different research areas in a single meeting,
topics include:

- Half cycle pulses
- Intense field Rydberg dynamics
- Rydberg physics involving attosecond physics
- Decoherence in Rydberg dynamics and quantum information
- Rydberg physics beyond atoms: Molecules, clusters, quantum dots
- Rydberg dynamics in ultracold gases and BECs including mesoscopic phenomena

The second part of the workshop (Wednesday to Friday) is open to all topics of interest in atomic physics.

The program (of both parts) will consist of invited talks and poster presentations. A certain number of submitted
contributions will be also invited for talks
