Quantum error correction in many-qubit systems - methods and perspectives

Gernot Alber
Technische Universität Darmstadt
Recently developed methods are discussed capable of stabilizing quantum dynamics of many-qubit systems against unwanted inter-qubit couplings and environmental disturbances. It is demonstrated that embedded quantum error correcting procedures in which dynamical decoupling methods are combined with redundancy-based quantum error correction constitute powerful methods for achieving this goal.
