POSTER PRESENTATION

Laser-cluster interactions with ultrashort pulses

Siva Rama Krishnan

Several issues with regard to laser cluster interactions remain to be resolved. Most experimental investigations hitherto have been used relatively long femtosecond laser pulses ( of duration 30 fs or more) and have focused on single specie rare-gas clusters. Recent numerical work (Saalmann and Rost) has emphasized the importance of both higher temporal resolution and two-component clusters. This poster presents early experimental schemes being implemented towards the study of pure and doped clusters with intense pulses, 10 fs or less.
