Several issues with regard to laser cluster interactions remain to be resolved. Most experimental investigations hitherto have been used relatively long femtosecond laser pulses ( of duration 30 fs or more) and have focused on single specie rare-gas clusters. Recent numerical work (Saalmann and Rost) has emphasized the importance of both higher temporal resolution and two-component clusters. This poster presents early experimental schemes being implemented towards the study of pure and doped clusters with intense pulses, 10 fs or less. |
