Stochastic gauge theory for quantum many-body problems

Sebastian Wüster
mpipks Dresden
We present a numerical method capable of first-principles quantum-many body calculations. The problematic exponential growth of Hilbert space size with the number of system components is overcome by a stochastic representation of correlations. We apply our theory to coherence dynamics of Rydberg gases and extended Bose-Hubbard systems.
