The first part of this year´s Atomic Physics meeting in Dresden is open to all topics of interest in atomic and molecular physics.

In the second part, from Wednesday to Friday, we will have a focus on

Quantum Dynamics of Molecular Motion

The focus days are intended to cover recent research in manipulating the classical and quantum motion and the orientation of molecules, as required for studying state-resolved reactions and for demonstrating molecular entanglement. We plan to bring together experts from the fields of decelerating and trapping molecules, their cooling and alignment, from the diffraction of molecular matter waves, and from molecular collisions and reactions. These topics share an interest in controlling the quantum dynamics of molecular motion with the goal of observing and utilizing quantum effects in increasingly complex objects.

The number of attendees is limited. The registration fee for the workshop is €120 and should be paid by all participants. Costs for accommodation and meals will be covered by the Max Planck Institute for the Physics of Complex Systems. Limited funding is available to partially cover travel expenses. Please note that childcare is available upon request.

Registration deadline was on October 15, 2010.
