Strong-field effects on the ionization of atomic systems with short wavelength radiation

Lampros Nikolopoulos
Dublin City University
In this talk I'll discuss some aspects of ionization of atomic systems under short wavelength radiation. The field's intensity strength, it's duration (as well as the inherent SASEfluctuations) can affect decisively the outcome of experiments. I'll present a theoretical formulation where all these field's properties appear in a consistent manner and discuss the results of the calculation in particular cases e.g. hydrogen, neon.
