The first part of this year's Atomic Physics meeting (Monday to Wednesday) in Dresden is open to all topics of interests in atomic and molecular physics.
In the second part, from Wednesday to Friday, we will have a focus on Quantum dynamics in tailored intense fields The dynamics of atoms and molecules in the presence of intense light fields is an expanding field of research due to recent developments in light-pulse design, such as the generation of strong mid-infrared pulses or polarization- and phase-controlled few-cycle pulses. This has led to new perspectives in high-harmonic spectroscopy, where Angstrom and attosecond scale structure and dynamics is investigated by observation of high-order harmonic radiation. Furthermore, advances in spectroscopy based on photoelectron momentum distributions include milestones such as time-resolved holography and recognition of chiral molecules. The workshop will bring together strong-field experts from the high-harmonic generation side and from the photoelectron side. |
The registration fee for the workshop is €120 and should be paid by all participants. The number of attendees is limited. Deadline for registration is October 21, 2013 For further information please contact: |
