We report the specific heat measurement in the presence of magnetic field up to 14 T and temperature dependent Raman scattering data of BiMn2-xTixO5 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.30). Anomalies are found in the specific heat data which directly verifies to the magnetic and dielectric characteristics of Ti doped BiMn2O5 samples. Fitting of low temperature specific heat (LTSH) data for these samples indicate considerably increased contribution of magnons due to Ti substitution. Raman scattering spectra collected at different temperatures further validate to the strong electron-phonon coupling corresponding to magnetic anomaly at ~ 86 K and increased harmonicity corresponding to the dielectric anomaly at ~ 120 K [JAP, 104, 033707 (2008)]. |
