Layered materials such as the transition metal dichalcogenides are ideal systems to investigate ARPES line shape. Among them, both, 1T-TiSe2 and 1T-TaS2 exhibit charge density wave (CDW) features which rendering them more interesting. At the same time the understanding of the measurements is more difficult. For both materials the mechanism of CDW formation is still an open question, thus a fine analysis of the ARPES line shape is crucial to track influence of elementary excitations. Here we present experimental data and display data analysis comprising density functional theory calculations and modelling the spectral function.
