We study the electronic structure of the one dimensional antiferromagnetic insulator SrCuO2 by angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy. By varying the excitation energy we probe the orbital character of the holon band. We explicitly resolve the spinon branch and track the holon branch to the zone center. Furthermore we resolve a peaklike structure at the zone boundary which cannot be due to the notorious photoemission background.
