By the application of a normalization to the Fermi distribution one is able to restore spectral information above the Fermi level, provided that the energy resolution of the spectrometer is at least on the scale of the thermal broadening. In the case of metallic Cer compounds this method extends the spectroscopic access to the Kondo resonance, which now can be analyzed quantitatively. In the present contribution, we discuss results on several Cer systems and give an outlook for further concepts of data analysis.
