Theory of electron differentiation revealed by photoemission experiments

I will discuss several aspects and consequences of electron differentiation in momentum space revealed in photoemission studies of strongly correlated electron systems with particular emphasis on cuprate superconductors. In particular, relations to the proximity of Mott transition is discussed in detail. A mechanism of the superconductivity arising from the quantum Mott criticality has a deep connection to the observations in photoemission measurements.
