| In recent years, a lot of attention has been focused on the interaction between Rydberg atoms. We dicuss the existence of very long-range potential wells sustaining bound levels. We study their properties (e.g. binding energies, lifetimes) as well as the effect of small electric fields. We also explore the photoassociation spectra that one should expect depending on the initial states of the ground state atoms. |
