The symposium brings together leading international experts in the
foundations and current frontiers of quantum information science,
and
calls for the participation of promising PhD students and young
PostDocs
working in this field. We wish to cover the entire spectrum of this
truly
interdisciplinary new area of physics, reaching from mathematics
over
theoretical physics to experiments, such as to identify open and
challenging
problems, as well as realistic strategies for their solution.
Entanglement measures and their dynamical evolution under the
influence of
the environment will define the specific focus of the meeting, and
in
particular the consequences thereof for realistic scenarios of
quantum
information processing. Besides oral contributions, ample time and
space
will be given to poster presentations and informal discussions.
