Research on fast ignition (FI) by laser driven ion beams has been more concentrated in recent years. In the present work, ion generation of the high contrast laser pulse interaction with near-critical density plasma is studied by 1D and 2D particle- in- cell simulation code. To increase the ponderomotive force contribution to the acceleration process, circular light polarization and short wavelength laser driver are employed and examined. Keywords: Fast Ignition, critical density, high contrast, circular polarization, short wavelength
