We present experimental results on the magnetic susceptibility of liquid 3He layers of atomic thickness, adsorbed on a graphite substrate. At sub-millikelvin temperatures the susceptibility increases substantially with respect to that of the interacting Fermi liquid constant value. Its density dependence has also been investigated, and found to be incompatible with localized impurity spins. We discuss the results obtained on this simple interacting Fermi liquid in terms of Fermi condensate theory and flat bands. |
