We study the dynamical properties of a one-dimensional system of driven, reconstituting dimers (110 - 011) [1]. As for the symmetric case (110 - 011)(1) studied earlier, the system shows strongly broken ergodicity; sectors are labelled by a nonlocal invariant, the irreducible string. Sector-dependent mappings to the asymmetric simple exclusion process (ASEP) allows sector-wise variations of time-dependent correlation functions to be understood. [1] M. Barma, M. D. Grynberg, R. B.
