Interference effect can be a powerful tool to investigate electronic states in quantum dots. When the coupling between the interferometer and the quantum dot is strong, however, we should treat them as an inseparable system. As examples, I will discuss the Fano-Kondo effect, Kondo-RKKY competition, and non-monotonic level occupation.
