Synthesis, structure and magnetic characterization of honeycomb-layer transition-metal oxides

Here, we report on the synthesis, structural and magnetic characterization of different honeycomb-layer based transition-metal oxides, including first results on Li2RhO3. We focus particularly on how structural order controls magnetic ordering in such systems.
