Pintschovius and others have improved the accuracy of inelastic neutron diffraction experiments during the last 5-10 years and found softening of half-breathing modes. The theoretical explanation of these experiments is given in my talk. The conclusion is that there is a strong coupling between nuclei and electrons. Superconductivity results as a superposition of charge density wave and spin density wave wavefunctions.
