We are a building a 3D quasi-electrostatic lattice based on a carbon dioxide laser. The large lattice spacing, of order 10 microns, and long storage times make this an ideal system for experiments on qunantum information processing. We will discuss experimental process to date and propose techniques to realise individually addressable neutral atom quantum gates and state-selective read-out.
