Collective oscillations in superfluid Fermi gases

Using hydrodynamic theory I will develop the theory of the collective oscillations in a trapped superfluid gas. The equation of state is a crucial ingredient of the theory and shows up in a non trivial behaviour of the collective frequencies across the BCS-BEC transition. Explicit results for the collective oscillations are also given in the presence of a 1D optical lattice where the effective mass of atoms is renormalized by tunneling effects.
