| Motivated by work of Frank Moss and Anke Ordemann, we study the light-induced organization of Daphnia swarms into vortex-like motion. To this end we generalize the active-Brownian-particle approaches of Erdmann, Ebeling, et al, in order to systematically address the influence of the choice of the external potential, the Daphnia density and hydrodynamic interaction. |
