Superconductivity and magnetism in ruthenates

Inhomogeneous nucleation of unconventional superconductivity gives rise to various interesting phenomena. I will discuss some properties of the so-called "3-Kelvin phase" in Sr2RuO4 with excess Ru as a realization of such a system. Doping Ca for Sr in Sr2RuO4 leads to peculiar magnetic phases. Based on the concept of orbital selective Mott transition some properties of these phases will be discussed.
