Noise in Life 2007: Stochastic Dynamics in the Neurosciences

The last decade has seen considerable progress in the development of
stochastic models in the neuroscience. Our workshop aims at discussing
problems related to the stochastic properties of single neurons and
biological neural networks and thus putting forward novel approaches in
quantitative neuroscience.
The workshop will bring together scientists doing
theoretical and experimental work on the neuronal escape-rate problem, on the
effect of temporal or spatial correlations on neural firing, on neural signal
transmission through single neurons, and on network oscillations.

Applications for participation and poster contributions are welcome and should be made by using the application form on the workshop web page (please see URL below). The number of attendees is limited. The registration fee for the workshop is 100 Euro and should be paid by all participants. Costs for accommodation and meals will be covered by the Max Planck Institute. Limited funding is available to partially cover travel expenses. Please note that childcare is available upon request.
