University of Maryland, Physics, College Park, USA

In this talk we will discuss recent developments involving new scientific interface between bottom-up chemistry, nano-optics and quantum science. Specific examples include precise tailoring of nanostructures with desired structure and functionality and enabled control of light-matter interactions. Novel applications of these developments ranging from novel enhancement of photochemistry to implementation of quantum spin and phonon manipulations will be presented.
