Asymmetric structured microcavities were fabricated by post deposition on rolled-up microtubes. Optical resonance in the geometry-modified microcavity was studied by both experiment and numerical simulations. Modulation of the resonant modes as well as their Q factors was achieved after post geometry modification on the microcavities. Moreover, directional light emission from the asymmetric microcavity was demonstrated by angle-dependent confocal micro-photoluminescence measurement. The optical resonances in the asymmetric microcavity were calculated by numerical simulations based on finite-difference time-domain method. |
