Directional and tunable single mode emission in a microcavity laser

We report here a microcavity laser, which generates tunable single mode with two directions. When the laser is excited with dc current, the single mode emits in the full range of injection current. The emission direction is confirmed from far field pattern and the tunable single mode is obtained from spectrum. The detailed emission characteristics are discussed.
