| Aggregated system have been widely used in many different fields of chemical and material sciences. Peculiar proprieties arising from their supramolecular structures may be usefully exploited also in the study of non linear dynamic phenomena. In this work the interaction between self-assembly aggregates of Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and chemical oscillators has been investigated in different experimental conditions by means of spectrophotometric investigations together with viscosity measurements and kinetic simulations. Results on the effect of micelles on the temporal and spatio-temporal dynamics of the ferroin-catalyzed Belousov-Zhabotinsky reaction are presented. The presence of the SDS aggregates at different concentrations has a marked effect both on the oscillating behaviour in stirred batch condition and on the wave speed v in unstirred condition. |
