Bound states in the continuum in a quantum-dot pair

We study the formation of "bound states in the continuum" in a quantum wire connecting two quantum dots. In the past such states have been studied for a one-electron system. We consider here a 2-electron system. We use a variant of the Hubbard Hamiltoninan where we add impurity sites at two specific locations. We use numerical simulations as well as the Bethe-ansatz solutions to demonstrate the existence of bound states in the continuum for this system.
