| We study a merging mechanism for the creation of complex networks in several models. In the process of evolution of our model systems, vertices merge together in a specified distance, preferentially or randomly. The distance of the two nodes is an important parameter for some of these models. We observe that only for the model in which merging is related to the fixed distance of the nodes the structure of the network is not scale-free and the other models belong to the category of the scale-free networks with exponents less than or equal 2. |
