In the present talk, polyphase transformations in non-equilibrium binary systems are analyzed in example of eutectic decomposition and spinodal decomposition. A brief overview for the modern models of non-equilibrium phase transformations is given. Special attention is paid to models for rapid eutectic growth and spinodal transformation in deeply undercooled binary melts. Theoretical predictions for the eutectic and spinodal decompositions are presented in comparison with existing experimental data.
