New developments in periodic orbit theory of level correlation

Periodic orbit expansion of the four-determinant generating function is used to obtain the two-point level correlation function of fully chaotic systems; both the non-oscillatory and oscillatory components of the correlation function are thus found. Generalizations to the quasi one-dimensional systems, parametric correlation and crossover in the magnetic field are considered.
