SCIENTIFIC CONTEXT

The workshop brings together experts from quantum probability and operator algebras, quantum statistics, and quantum optics. Its specific focus is to foster the interdisciplinary exchange and crosstalk between prominent members of the mathematical and the physics community, who share a common interest in quantum probability and its particular implications for quantum information - in theory and experiment. Merging available but not always mutually accessible knowledge from mathematics, theoretical physics, and from the real world laboratory, we hope to identify challenging problems and efficient approaches to their solutions. In addition to a limited number of invited talks, there will be ample time for poster presentations and individual discussions.
