The paradigm for correlation effects in solid state physics is the single impurity Kondo model. While the physics is well understood, the actual calculation of especially dynamical properties for this model still presents a major challenge. We use the flow-equation technique developed by Wegner to show that the single-inpurity Kondo model in a magnetic field can be mapped onto an effective non-interacting model, a resonant level model. We present several static and dynamic quantities and discuss the limitiations and possible future extensions.
