A set of experimental observations that have been reported during the past four years in a passively mode-locked fiber ring laser, is analyzed in the light of dissipative solitons, with the help of numerical simulations. These observations comprise the discovery of the ąpi/2 phase-locked soliton pairs, as well as other multisoliton complexes that can be viewed as 'soliton molecules'. The various outcomes of the collision between a soliton pair a a separate soliton are discussed. Finally, different types of pulsating solitons are presented. |
