Review is given of the main features of dissipative solitons in a number of nonlinear-optical systems. Special attention is given to laser schemes with saturable gain and losses where dissipative solitons with dimensionality D = 1, 2, and 3 are known. For the example of two-dimensional laser schemes, complexes of solitons with their weak, strong, and mixed coupling are presented. The type of coupling is determined by the portrait of energy flows in the scheme transverse section. The motion of complex center of inertia of and its rotation are governed by the symmetry of transverse distributions of intensity and energy flows. Curvilinear motion of centre of inertia of asymmetric complexes is demonstrated. In conclusion, features of dissipative solitons in different nonlinear-optical schemes are compared.
