Dissipative Solitons in Semiconductor Amplifiers

The experimental generation, propagation, modulational instability and interactions between dissipative solitons in semiconductor amplifiers will be presented and compared with theoretical predictions. Very good agreement with theory was found. description: Research interests include discrete solitons in dissipative and non-dissipative systems, photonics crystal fibers, nonlinear optics in nano-wire waveguides and Raman Gain materials.
