We present a numerical study of the dynamical spin susceptibility within nearest-neighbor Kitaev-Heisenberg model which has been recently demonstrated to explain the observed magnetic properties of the iridium oxide Na2IrO3 [1]. In the part of the model phase diagram relevant to Na2IrO3, as identified in [1], the proximity to the spin liquid phase is shown to bring distinctive features of the spin susceptibility at energies of about 20 - 40 meV. The strong contrast to the results obtained within an alternative model with dominant Heisenberg interactions up to third nearest neighbors motivates an experimental resolution between the two scenarios.
