Topological electric current from time-dependent elastic deformations in graphene

We show the possibility of creating an electric current in graphene by applying a time dependent deformation of the lattice without breaking time reversal symmetry. We analyze the precise the nature of the current and study the electromagnetic response of the system and the interplay of the electric and elastic-induced currents.
