International Workshop

Stochastic Resonance: New Horizons in Physics and Engineering

October 4 - 7, 2004

SCIENTIFIC COORDINATORS:

Peter Hänggi   Lutz Schimansky-Geier
Universität Augsburg   Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
Augsburg, Germany   Berlin, Germany

ORGANISATION: Mandy Lochar, MPIPKS Dresden, Germany

The theme of this international workshop has its focus on the phenomenon of Stochastic Resonance in nonlinear systems in physics, engineering sciences, geophysics and biological physics. In addition we attempt to feature also related fluctuation phenomena such as fluctuation theorems and more general noised-induced resonance phenomena in complex systems. The goal is to identify new ideas, guiding novel advances and applications within those differing, although related, areas of sciences.

The main workshop topics are:

$\bullet$ Stochastic Resonance
$\bullet$ Fluctuation Phenomena
$\bullet$ Nonlinear Resonances and Chaos
$\bullet$ Quantum Resonances
