Our aim is to bring together experts from different branches in quantum transport and related fields in order to discuss current progress and, in particular, to explore future trends and directions. Furthermore, the workshop should help to further and intensify the exchange between theory and experiment. The meeting is planned to be rather short and informal in order to stimulate an efficient exchange of ideas.
The topics will range from transport on mesoscopic scales (superlattices, quantum billiards, quantum dots) to nano-scales (artificial atoms and molecules, point contacts, nano-tubes and -wires, clusters).
In addition to the invited talks we plan to have a poster session.
The meeting will start on Thursday, November 26, in the morning and will end on Friday, November 27, around noon so that the afternoon can be used either for informal discussions or to travel back.
