Two-photon ionisation of Ne+ in the VUV regime


In order to develop understanding of intense-field processes in the VUV regime, we study two-photon ionisation of Ne+ for photon energies between 25 and 40 eV at an intensity of I = 1014 W cm-2. We perform R-matrix Floquet calculations including emission of an outer-shell 2p electron or inner-shell 2s electron. We compare ionisation rates containing outer-shell processes only with those containing inner-shell processes as well and hence analyse the effects of a more and more detailed description of Ne+. R-matrix Floquet calculations are also compared with time-dependent calculations.
