NOVEL PHYSICS IN LOW-DIMENSIONAL ELECTRON SYSTEMS

The meeting will focus on recent developments in the physics of low-dimensional electron systems, with particular emphasis on electron correlations in these systems, and will center on a series of lectures given by the invited speakers. The aim of the lectures will be to cover the rapid developments that have taken place in the field of low-dimensional electron systems.

The topics to be covered are:

tex2html_wrap_inline48 Fractional quantum Hall effect (composite fermions, spin-reversed states, etc.)

Applications for participation should be sent to the address below. Deadline for application is March 31, 1997. The registration fee is DM 350. Costs for accommodation and lunch will be covered by the MPI for Physics of Complex Systems. A limited funding is available to contribute partially towards travel expenses for young scientists.
