MAX-PLANCK-INSTITUT FÜR PHYSIK KOMPLEXER SYSTEME DRESDEN

Workshop on

Atomic Physics and X-ray Free Electron Laser Related Dynamics

December 13 - 15, 2001

Scientific Coordinator:
Jan-Michael Rost
(MPIPKS Dresden)

This year's Atomic Physics meeting in Dresden has a focus on the interaction of matter with X-ray free electron lasers. They will provide laser light not only of high intensity but also of high frequency in the future.
The second part of the workshop (Friday/Saturday) is devoted to this topic and more generally to intense field phenomena.
The first part (Thursday/Friday) is open to all interesting developments in atomic physics.

The registration fee for the workshop is DM 75. Costs for accommodation and meals as well as reasonable travel expenses will be covered by the Max Planck Insititute for the Physics of Complex Systems.

Deadline for registration was November 15th, 2001
